Enchanted Palace in Kensington

This is a wonderful exhibition both for adults and kids. The setting is beautiful and the exhibition decor is really quirky. I felt like being alive in a Narnia movie somehow. I find it great that such a highly historic place can be used for such a fun & fantastic exhibition. Perfect for a cold Sunday afternoon.
(pics are not great as I had to use my blackberry, cameras are not allowed)

We came across it when walking through the UK countryside. It's spooky when all the chickens start following you, and kinda puts you off chicken for a bit!

Revisiting the Mac mini media center | Macworld

Media_httpimagesmacwo_nkdfe

Always looking for new IT projects (I like those geeky moments, it must have something to do with my dad's IT obsession :)) ), I was thinking about upgrading my 2009 mac mini and put in on steroids. I have started ripping all of our dvds, and having a 1To hhd & 4Go of memory could be a nice addition to our multimedia improvised center. And way cheaper than buying the new mac mini!

Anyone has tried? I found this article from macworld quite useful.

Halloween is around the corner. What about EU traditions?

Img00160-20100923-1728

I love the Halloween folklore. Put aside the commercial gold rush, it's a pretty fun family/friendly event. I wouldn't mind if EU picked it up. As we have lost some of our traditional festivities ("mardi gras" for example), why not take on others! :)

Zuckerberg to Donate $100 Million to Newark Schools

22-09-2010_17-10-39

Fascinating to read the collision of 2 Zuckerberg pieces of news today: his fortune is said to be valuated above the one of Jobs, at 6.9 billion dollars and at the same time, he's announced giving $100 million to a school badly in need of fresh funding. Not bad for a 26 years old! I guess with money comes the ability (and responsibility?) to make big changes, and contribute to social welfare. In a world where traditionally this responsibility was in the hands of a happy few old & wise leaders, the rapid boom of young e-billionaires is also redefining who gets to decide and lead social, scientific and political progress.

Wonderful, fun & foody evening at my cousin

(download)

It's really nice to reconnect with one's family, and enjoy a relaxed evening. Great food, good wine and engaging conversation. A perfect evening :))) Pics were taken with my old iPhone (1st generation) and enhanced with the 'PS express' app. I'm pretty bluffed by the quality and nice effect it allows to add to the pic. Technology is just awesome!

My Trinity experience: lovely, energizing, simple and human

Photo

I'll talk more about it on my blog, but experiencing the real life of a high-class restaurant was a real treat. I was welcomed and taken care of by passionate, fun and lively people. And I had the pleasure to then sit down for dinner and enjoy a feast of a tasting menu, with matching wines. What a day! I loved it!
